I joined CSIR–NAL as a Project Engineer and previously as an intern to gain hands-on experience in aerospace testing and sensor-based monitoring systems. My goal was to apply theoretical knowledge from my electronics and mechatronics background to real-world aerospace applications, including propeller performance testing, turbine and turbojet engine monitoring, and structural health monitoring of composite components.

During my time there, I learned to:

Conduct precise experimental testing under strict safety and quality standards.

Automate data acquisition and control loops using Lakeview for reliable measurement and monitoring.

Integrate sensors and develop Python-based data analysis algorithms for structural health monitoring.

Interpret results and document findings for technical validation and optimization.

This experience strengthened my skills in instrumentation, measurement, system integration, and experimental problem-solving, all of which are directly relevant to developing advanced sensor systems and measurement processes in research-focused projects.

I chose to pursue my M.Sc. in Sensor Systems Technology at Hochschule Karlsruhe because it perfectly aligns with my interests in sensors, measurement systems, and embedded technologies. The program offers a unique combination of theoretical courses and practical laboratory work, allowing me to gain expertise in sensor design, signal processing, and system integration. Additionally, the university’s emphasis on research-driven projects and collaboration with industry and research institutes, such as KIT, provides an excellent platform to apply my previous experience in aerospace testing and IoT-based systems to cutting-edge sensor technologies.
