It was a property of 1 hectare and the whole place was used for planting the vegetables, the clients would make their order through the phone and we would harvest them on the day they had scheduled to pick it up, so all was done inside the farm. Since I stayed there a full year, I got to see and be part of a full cycle, which was very satisfying. Some of the plants we would grow from seeds, and some others we would buy them already as well established seedlings. The tasks were various, from preparing the soil, weeding, doing maintenance on the irrigation system, harvesting, handling payments and so on.

For the past year I have been living and volunteering as an animal caretaker in a sanctuary in Ireland. I love animals and so I loved the job I had. My responsibilities included among others feeding, cleaning, managing supplies, handling medicine, and maintenance and building of structures. The work could be quite rough sometimes under the Irish weather. It was physical work every day, which taught me to take care of my body in order to avoid pains from intense and repetitive work. Working mainly on my own responsibility, I developed a big sense of proactiveness and management for solving problems, dealing with stress and having to be fast-paced.
